Reaching out for help to manage your mental health takes a significant amount of courage.  I believe my role is to help guide you toward who you want to be and recognize the strengths you already possess in your journey to wellness.

I work predominantly with adolescents and young adults, but I have experience working with people of all ages. As an accredited school counsellor, I have over 13 years of supporting middle and high school young people.

I use several counselling philosophies and orientations, including person-centred, solution-focused, and narrative therapy. I have also used portions of DBT, CBT, and mindfulness to help students succeed in their personal lives and in academics.

My education consists of undergraduate degrees in psychology and education, a post-baccalaureate education in counselling, and my final year of the Master in Counselling Psychology program.

If you need help figuring out where to start, the right therapist to book with, or need to speak to a patient helpful person on the other end, please reach out! Our wonderful client care coordinator, Mercedes, has vast experience in setting people up with the right counsellor for their needs and ensuring it continues to be a good fit.  You can do this by calling (204) 504-6976 or emailing us at info@mywinnipegtherapist.com

The counselling profession is ethically responsible for promoting social justice, diversity, and inclusion.  Part of our work in trauma includes a responsibility to reconciliation and as such, it is important to acknowledge that we live and work on Treaty One land, the traditional territory of the Anishinaabe, Ininiw and Dakota, and the homeland of the Métis Nation. We are committed to understanding the truth of our history of colonization, and we acknowledge the harms and mistakes of the past.  We respect the Treaties that were made on these territories, and we dedicate ourselves to move forward in partnership with Indigenous communities in a spirit of reconciliation, reparation and collaboration.
