SOCIAL WORK COUNSELLING POSITION

My Winnipeg Therapist is looking to hire one part-time and one full-time Master of Social Work Counsellor.

PAY AND BENEFITS:

Full-Time:

estimated $68,500.00 to $94,000 (pay and benefits)

30-34 hours per week

benefits include Paid Time Off, CCP contribution, Stat pay, Professional Development Fund, EI insurance and Paid Clinical Supervision and Training

Part-Time:

pro-rated based on number of hours you work

minimum 12 hours (with opportunity to increase hours)

We’re looking for one full-time and one part-time clinical social workers who has a passion for counselling, knows the kind of clients they are good at working with and wants to grow their clinical skills.

My Winnipeg Therapist provides in-house clinical supervision. Dr. Freeze, PhD. our Clinical Team Lead, clinical educator and author. Along with Practicum Placement for masters social work students, we offer Advanced Clinical Training for practicing therapists employed with us.

We are looking for positive and motivated counsellors, who are prosocial and experience intrinsic value in caring for others. We are looking for counsellors who are open to receiving support and offering support to others on our team.

DUTIES

  • provide client-focused, compassionate therapy to clients using evidence-based practices

  • Maintain appropriate and up-to-date case notes, documentation and reports

  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal, organizational and time management skills.

  • Participate in monthly collaborative clinical consultations
  • attend in-house clinical supervision are required by our Clinical Team Lead
  • respond to client queries in a timely manner
  • have flexibility to meet client needs outside of scheduled hours

REQUIREMENTS

  • Current Province of Manitoba license as an MSW or MMFT
  • can work a minimum of 12 hours per week for part-time position
  • 2 years post-independent licensure a plus
  • Prior private practice experience is a plus
  • This position is subject to a Criminal Record Check, including Vulnerable Sector Search, an Adult Abuse Registry Check, and a Child Abuse Registry Check.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of practice in clinical assessment and treatment models
  • Demonstrated ability to problem-solve complex situations and manage sensitive issues
  • Extensive knowledge and skill in a range of intervention modalities
  • Demonstrated skills working with diverse populations and presenting issues
  • Skilled at working with people with co-occurring mental health disorders
  • Must demonstrate flexibility with treatment modalities to specific needs of the client
  • Must be registered or eligible for registration with your professional college
  • must have practice liability insurance
