Starting counselling can be nerve-wracking, just know that this feeling is normal, and that I will do my best to help make counselling a good experience for you.

I was once in your shoes, looking to begin counselling because I felt like I needed support. At the young age of 15, I found myself struggling and I was needing support. Throughout my time in counselling, I fell in love with the field and to this day, I am grateful for the therapists that have helped me along the way.

I am here to help you get through life’s toughest moments and to help you achieve optimal well-being. Human beings are not broken, but it can feel like that sometimes. When we go through tough times it might seem like there is no light at the end of the tunnel, and you might feel stuck, but ultimately, we are capable of growing and evolving.

I knew at a very young age that I wanted to help people like myself. I provide a warm, validating, supportive environment that helps to facilitate change. Throughout our sessions, we will work towards helping you reach your desired goals and helping you achieve good well-being.

I take more of an integrative approach, where I combine different techniques and interventions from different therapeutic approaches. I utilize approaches such as Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Person-Centred, Narrative Therapy, and Trauma-Focused.

I received my Bachelor of Arts (Adv.) in 2020 from the University of Manitoba. I have spent 8.5 years in post-secondary studying psychology and counselling. In August of 2022, I received my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology degree through Yorkville University. I spent nearly 8 months doing my practicum placement, working on my clinical hours with a very diverse population consisting of different age groups, backgrounds and presenting issues. I have obtained certifications such as a Trauma-Informed Certification, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) Accredited Certification, Counselling for Children & Adolescents Certification, Accredited Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy Practitioner Certification, and Accredited Professional Life Coach & Guide Certification.
